Final Reflection

For my final thoughts, I would say that this class is good but Im ready to be done with school for the year. I would recommend this class to a friend because its a good class to take for general understanding of technology. Although I did know most everything we went over, it was a challenge working with macs, which I never had done before. Other than the challenge of working with macs, it was a good class to get a credit in.

Today in Ed tech we finished our final projects and are ready to present next class.

Today we finished the EdTech wiki page and stuff. We had some problems with the permissions and non editors not able to see artifacts on the some of the pages. Other than that the wiki should be done and ready to be graded. Besides the wiki, I still need to do my final project.

Today in class we finished our website evaluations. Most all of my feedback was positive. My lowest score was in Required Content, because I couldn't figure out how to add music to my website. Other than that my scores on Visual Appeal, Good Organization, and Good Lay Out was all high scores.

What I learned

Today I finished my video project and uploading it. We will be starting websites next, which should be relatively easily since im in the web design class. A huge thanks to John and Sam for helping me with my video project.

To day in class we are to finish editing our movie projects but i left my movie at home on my flash drive so i cant edit it or upload it to google drive so thats just awesome. I will probably just figure out how to edit it at home, and then upload it.

Today in class we finished up our picture essays, mine is posted below. We also started our video projects, we have to start writing the scripts and making our story board for our project. Other than that i didn't learn much.

My Picture Essay

Sound, movie and Photo editing software

Sound software- For the sound software I found Audacity. It is a free audio editor and recording software. You can record live audio, cut sounds together, and change the speed or pitch of the recording. It seems like a good program to use.
Movie software- The movie software I found was VideoPad Video Editor. I got the free version and it seems to be easy to use. It has all the feature I would need to make a descent movie.
Photo software- I found Photoscape for the picture editing software. It is also a free program. You can do all the things need to edit photos. It is pretty easy to use and runs good.

What I Learned

I learned quite a few things in the past few weeks I havent posted. We went over podcasting and creating audio in Garage Band. I learned that features of Garage Band are so simple it can be hard sometimes. After the podcasting project we started a kid book reading video project. We are now presenting our  video projects today.
